As a career Oracle Commerce (ATG) consultant and full-stack web developer, I've designed, built, and optimized commerce web applications for some of the top retailers in the world. Though my focus has been primarily on back-end web technologies (being that Oracle Commerce is a Java/J2EE-based commerce framework), my passion has always been in working with front-end web technologies. I've most recently been helping retailers adopt a mobile-first mindset towards their web development cycles and have been heavily involved in the design and construction of a number of responsive user interfaces for our applications. Going forward, I want to continue to focus on front-end web development and apply my knowledge and expertise to design and build the next generation of highly responsive web applications.

• Leads customer engagements by interfacing with all levels of the business in order to understand the needs around their commerce web applications, defines and refines requirements, then develops a plan and proposes an approach given a timeline and budget
• Disseminates information to key technical resources and track leads, identifies roles and responsibilities among team members, and ensures separate work streams converge into a successful project
• Drives technical discussions with technical resources to flesh out designs in order to arrive at the best possible solutions to complex business problems, ensures best-practice is followed and quality code is delivered to the customer
• Provides custom commerce functionality by extending key back-end platform components using the Java programming language and adhering to SOLID object-oriented design principles and best-practices
• Exposes customer-facing commerce functionality by creating presentational components in JSPs and leveraging the latest front-end technologies to create seamless, intuitive user experiences that are consistent across the breadth of available web browsers
• Extends the out-of-the-box data model to accommodate custom data elements by augmenting the repositories' XML definition files and writing SQL queries to extend and create tables in a relational database as necessary
• Coordinates performance testing and holiday readiness engagements for customers by taking the available web analytics data and designing realistic test scenarios, supports the execution of performance tests to ensure actionable results, and assists with remediation efforts aimed at improving application performance to ensure an optimal user experience and maximum up-time during peak days
• Participates in all stages of the software development cycle from inception through launch and ensures the appropriate tools and technologies are applied at each step

• Lead workshops with key business stakeholders in order to gather requirements for their commerce web applications and provided accurate effort estimates with respect to the proposed solutions
• Collaborated with technical team members to design, implement, test and support the launch of functional enhancements and third-party integrations to existing commerce web applications with a focus on front-end web development and technologies
• Designed and recorded performance test scripts, executed performance tests, and assisted with the analysis and remediation efforts that followed in order to optimize the performance, stability and scalability of commerce web applications
